Heart Racing was established in the summer of 2016 by Becky Bailey, who has been involved with horses and racing for her entire life. With a passion for the sport coursing through her veins, and having tasted and enjoyed the thrill of being involved as a shareholder in other syndicates, taking the step to set up her own syndicate seemed a natural progression to fully immersing herself in her beloved sport.
Becky’s love of the sport started at an early age with close family breeding and training their own racehorses. Getting in the saddle from an early age, Becky has ridden most of her life and is always happiest when she has the lovely familiar smell of horses on her hands! In her early teens she worked for Anabel Murphy at weekends and school holidays but was talked out of having a career in racing, being told she’d never earn any money. Probably true, but she still wishes she’d followed her dream of being a jockey.
Having an interest in holistic therapy and equine health/wellbeing, Becky qualified as an equine sport massage therapist in 2007, through world renowned and revered Mary Bromiley. Though not currently practicing, the knowledge of physiology and anatomy is invaluable when looking at prospective horses for sale or lease as Becky really does know one end of a horse from the other.
She has more recently become better known in racing for her skill with a camera and is one of the team of official photographers at Cheltenham and also covers a number of other meetings around the country.
