Our Reward won his second hurdle race of the season at Southwell on September 5th. Looking an unlikely winner with a circuit to go, he stayed on resolutely to move in to the lead just before the last and won by 8 lengths to the joy of all of his owners. A fabulous day.
After a manic few weeks, we’re just a bit late posting about this, but still as utterly thrilled as we were on the day when we got our first win, with Early Morning Rain (“Rosie”) making all at Plumpton on 25th February, under another brilliant ride by Sam Twiston-Davies. Rosie is as tough as nails and when the Honeyball horse pulled upsides going in to the straight, she stuck her neck out and ran all the way to the line, keeping the fast finishing Pogo I am of Harry Fry’s half a length behind. A wonderful day for all of her owners that were at the track and those watching on TV. We’re looking forward to heading to Cheltenham with her now on 18th April to see how she handles a step up in class. Exciting times!
Coole Charmer has been off since the end of last year, recovering from an injury he picked up at Bangor in October 2017. He has had lots of rest and recuperation and the vet checked him over in July and was happy with his recovery and gave us the green light to start him off again.
He has been at Richard Bandey’s yard for nearly two weeks and is starting off very slowly on the walker as we build up the strength in his leg and start to get his extra condition off! There’s no chance of him ever looking light! He will then return to Neil Mulholland’s later in the Autumn.
He is particularly chilled and relaxed after his break and as frustrating as it is to pick up an injury, the time off will have done him the world of good. We’re all looking forward to him getting back on the track and picking up where he left off.
Heart Racing had a morning on the gallops at Neil Mulholland’s on 12th May to see our lovely filly Ballymilan and to watch some of the other horses on the gallops. Some of her current owners came along to see her for the first time and several other people joined us and have now also taken shares.
Ballymilan is progressing very well and learning everyday as her education continues. She’s been at Neil’s for a month and is now cantering steady away up the gallops each day. She has a great attitude, is confident and doing everything asked of her at this time.
She will be turned away again shortly to have a little chill time in the field before she comes in and goes in to full training in early July.
She really is a lovely filly and I urge you, if you are interested in her, to get involved as she is a very exciting prospect.
As always, if you have any questions, please do get in touch.
Our lovely new filly Ballymilan (Milan x Ballyhoo (Supreme Leader), has now arrived at Neil’s to start pre-training. She settled very quickly at Conkwell Grange and took it all in her stride and we are very excited about the future journey we are now embarking on. We still have shares available, so please get in touch for more details. #TeamHeart #TeamMulholland
News will be announced soon of shares in a beautiful three year old filly by Milan. Heart Racing are very excited about welcoming this lovely girl to the stable. Details to be released in the next few weeks. She is sure to be very popular so keep checking to see when the info is available so you don’t miss out!
If you have been thinking about having a share in Coole Charmer, maybe a look at his last run might help with your decision making?
This was his last run at Ffos Las in April when we put him back up in trip a bit which clearly suited him and he stayed on well. The form has been well franked with the winner Bhakti coming out and running a great couple of races since in defeat and Lime Street who was behind us in third, went through the sales ring for £25k after this race and won recently at Uttoxeter, which resulted in the handicapper putting Charmer up 3lb when he was still out in field.

Charmer has had a lovely break, initially at Noels and than most recently back at Neil’s. He has now come back in and is en route to getting fit again and getting back out on track.
I am really looking forward to this season, especially as his last run at Ffos Las in April has had the form well and truly franked with both the winner Bhakti coming out and running a couple more cracking races, albeit not winning, but more recently with Lime Street, who was one and a half lengths behind us in third, winning at Uttoxeter last week. He has been through Doncaster sales since the Ffos Las run and sold for £25k. Significantly more than Charmer cost!
There are still shares available in our lovely boy and this is the perfect time to get involved as he is now back in training and we will be having our first owners day in July at Conkwell Grange Stables when you get to meet Charmer, Neil and his wonderful team and see the fantastic training facilities. Something not to be missed!
If you have any questions or would like more details sending to you, please do get in touch. We genuinely believe we will be in the winners enclosure this season, and by post number 1!!
Last season we were lucky enough to lease Coole Charmer from his owner Chris Giles and have him in training with the brilliant Neil Mulholland and his fabulous team at Conkwell Grange Stables. The lease finished at the end of April 2017and I was hoping we would secure the lease on him for another season.
To my dismay, Mr Giles said he didn’t wish to lease him again but would send him to Ascot sales in June. Well, we couldn‘t have that now could we!
So, I am pleased to say that Heart Racing have secured Charmer out of the sales ring and are utterly thrilled to now own this beautiful horse.
Even better news (for you guys), is that shares have become available so YOU can now OWN a share in this lovely boy who we are sure will be winning races this season.
Charmer is having a well deserved holiday at Neil’s and will go back in to training at the end of June.
Neil, Noel and myself are all sure that Charmer will be winning races this season as he ended last season on such a good note, being beaten only 2 1/4 lengths at Ffos Las in April. Even more encouraging, the horse that was 1 1/2 lengths behind us that day sold for £25k yesterday at Goffs Doncaster and Charmer is only a fraction of that cost!
If you would like to join Team Heart and enjoy the current season and seasons to come, with a low buy in cost and fixed monthly payments, please message me with your email address and I will send you full details. I would love to welcome you to Heart Racing.
